Spirit Week | Apr. 22-25

Leadership 9 is hosting another fun and amazing dress-up spirit week. Here are the following fun days we have planned:

Tuesday, April 22 – Dress Like a Celebrity

Wednesday, April 23 – Musical Day – dress like your favorite musical character

Thursday, April 24 – Sports day – dress in your favorite sport gear or team

Friday, April 25 – Anything BUT a backpack day – carry your belongings in something odd

Welcome Quebec School Ecole’ L’Odyssee to Calgary – Sunday, April 13

Our Band 8/9 program is really excited to be welcoming over 40 students and their chaperones to Calgary to begin our first leg of the cultural exchange and musical tour. Our TWIN school will be joining our grade 8/9 students attending the Quebec exchange on a variety of different events this upcoming week. We are planning on showing our guests around town and to Banff National Park all next week.

Then two weeks later, 56 Willow Parks students and their chaperones will be heading off to Quebec for the second leg our exchange program.   

Thank you advance to Mr. Jensen, Mr. Marklinger, Ms. Thomas, Ms. Vivers, Ms. Stone and Ms. Myers for volunteering to take on this busy exchange here in Calgary and in two weeks in Quebec.

This session will look at some of the most popular platforms among Canadian youth and how to protect privacy and keep everyone safe. We will also discuss the effects of social media use on teen mental health and how to promote healthy social media habits in a digital world.
