Thank you Families

Our staff want to thank the many families who have brought in special treats for our staff to indulge in over the past few weeks. Your generosity is very much appreciated; although our waistlines may not agree.

Staff Update

We are pleased to welcome Ms. Sarah Forbister (6-1) and Ms. Shelby Koch (pronounced Ms. Cook) in 6-3 who will be joining our grade 6 team in the New Year. Ms. Forbister is replacing Ms. Winters who is retiring today and Ms. Koch is temporarily replacing Ms. Heaney who is off on a medical leave until further notice. As previously mentioned, Jessica Havens is also joining us to teach grade 7 Humanities as we move Ms. Hillis into a literacy and resource intervention role.

Spirit Week and Leadership Activities

We want to thank the grade 7-9 Leadership classes for making our December a very fun and festive month. We had fun dress up days, door decorating challenges, two Winter Wonderland dances and today they handed out hot chocolate and candy canes to all of the students. We even had some helper elves and even the big guy in red showed up for an appearance.

Food Bank Donations – Class Challenge Complete

Thank you Willow Park families! This by far was the biggest collection of much needed food bank items that we have ever seen. Your generous contributions will help ensure that those most in need, have a better winter holiday.

We are always pleased to partner with the Willow Ridge Community Centre to highlight student art work. This artwork is changed out every few months, and this month we have pieces displayed that were created by some of our grade 5, 6 & 7 students.
