Willow Park’s Truth & Reconciliation Commitment For 24/25

Staff, students and the school community will continue to support the TRC, specifically through continuing to build connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists and art experiences (working directly with Indigenous artists when possible).

We also continue to commit to deepening our commitment to Indigenous education issues, with a focus on building student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect.

In making our commitment, Calls to Action (83 & 63) offered inspiration.

Paying Your Fees

Our amazing program only works with the additional support of our families. We need you to go on to your MyCBE account and pay off any outstanding fees.  We thank you in advance for attention to this.

Last Week Happenings

  • Our Snack Shack is now closed for the year. Please send your child with enough snacks, drinks, and lunch this week.
  • Grade 9 Lifetouch whole grade composite photos available. Students where shown what these looked like in class on Friday. Those who pre-ordered one where given theirs. There are extras available. Please bring $21.00 in cash or a cheque made payable to Lifetouch Canada to the office if you would like to purchase one. Only on sale until Wednesday morning.
  • Locker clean out – Tuesday students will be cleaning out their lockers and desks. Please send your child with a backpack or bags to bring all their goodies home for a summer sort out.
  • Yearbooks – Tuesday yearbooks will be handed out in the afternoon. We have a limited amount of extra yearbooks. If your child did not order one (check your MyCBE​ account under fees to see if you paid for one) please have them bring $35.00 cash to the office to reserve theirs.
  • Library books – we still have about 60 books missing from our library collection. Please ask your child if they have a book outstanding and get them to return it ASAP so that fees do not have to be charge to your account.
  • Healthy Hunger - Glamorgan Bakery – Wednesday
  • Activity Day – Wednesday This exciting day will consist of many fun and amazing indoor and outdoor activities. Please be sure your child comes prepared for the day with a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, bottled water, and snacks. We will be providing students with a complimentary hot dog (all beef, no gluten), a bag of chips, and a drink for lunch. (22 Gluten free buns will be available) Freezies will be for sale for $1.00 each.
  • Thursday last day of the 2023-2024 school year. Dismissal at 1:22 PM. Busses running. 

Report Cards

Families will be able to view online student report cards from June 26 – July 26, 2024. Report cards for the 2023-24 school year may be viewed, downloaded and/or printed. Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE​ to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE​ portal instead of using the PowerSchool App. Need help with this, check out our website.
