Thank You Casino Volunteers
We want to thank all of the parents/guardians and staff who volunteered over this past weekend to support our WPS Casino. Your gift of time was so valuable to our school and our arts programming.
We also want to send a huge shout out to Sebastien N – who spent countless hours organizing this event and the volunteers to make this a huge success. Thanks Sebastien!!
School Council Meeting Tuesday, Oct. 17
Just a reminder that we will have our second School Council Meeting of the year in our Staff Room starting at 7 p.m.
Fees
The annual Alternative Program - Arts Centred Learning Fee of $85.00 has been applied to all student’s accounts. Parents/Guardians, please pay this fee through your MyCBE account as soon as possible. This fee helps support our amazing arts programming.
Jacket Racket - Winter Clothing Drive
We will be accepting donations for Jacket Racket until Thursday, November 2. Please send any donation items to the school’s main office. Thank you to our Grade 6s for taking this on!
Busing
Keep track of bus arrival times by downloading the MyBusStop App at https://www.mybusstop.ca/login.aspx and register to track your bus using the code CBEFVAQORC. You can also look up delays on My School Bus Monitor at https://www.myschoolbusmonitor.ca/ where Southland Transportation posts delays expected to be over 10 minutes.
Masks and Covid Tests
The school still has an abundance of masks and Covid tests. If you would like any of these, please have your student come to the office to pick them up.
Are you Interested in Volunteering at WPS?
There will be many exciting opportunities throughout the school year to volunteer for in school activities/events, as well as out of school field trips.
To be able to volunteer for any of these opportunities you must have completed an Annual Volunteer Registration Form AND have a valid Police Information Check (ePIC). An ePIC can take up to 6 weeks to process. If you have a valid clearance at another CBE school, please contact the school office to see about attaching your information to our database.
